I sold one of youngest Junior O's outgrown coats on Ebay. The buyer has just emailed me to ask for a refund as she says it is not the shade of black she expected. The nerve of it!

Wrong shade of black?! I'd refuse!
Offer to sell them a bottle of dye.
I take it you will be saying blacks black and p1ss off... Some
People are so fookin difficult x
What shade did she expect it to be, grey?

The photo and description were 100% accurate.
I've told her to open a dispute but to be aware the item has to be SUBSTANTIALLY different to the listing.
She hasn't got a leg to stand on
she does have the 7 day distance selling rules i think - but she would have to cover ALL your costs to return and relist it...

is it very faded or something?
LOL - some people will try anything. Offer her to send it back to you at her expense, then you'll refund the purchase price but not the postage. It's a child's coat, not a fashion item!
chortle! what a cheek indeed!

She is not getting a refund. End of.
Nup i wouldnt either x
Shade of black - what nonsense.
have heard of people buying items exaclty like ones that they already own, but that have faded or slightly broken, the returning the broken one claiming its how it arrived... they really just get a straight swap for a rejuvenated item

i always mark anything i sell, with a tiny cross in a hidden spot, such as under the batteries, and take any serial numbers (though some can be removed)
