Morning All, lovely to be back in the fold after a coule of days off. Thanks to all for the birthday greetings on tuesday and for asll the messages of support yesterday - all of which were very much appreciated. Bit nippy up here in NW Wales this morning but hopefully it will warm up soon.

I had a £2 win on a scratch card that my s-i-l put in my birthday card - paid for the chocolate biscuits I had to buy when they announced they were calling on me last night - i could have bought a litre of diesel and had enough left over for a very small chocolate bar!!!

I've just had my notification too... only a couple of quid difference per month than last year, so I count myself lucky. However there is a stealth tax, instead of collecting green rubbish free, we now have to pay £40 a year for the privilege if we want to sign up to it.

A very small choccy bar?!! In my neck of the woods the change would have bought 2 squares of choccy at best.

Boxy, council rent up 5%, council tax 4.5% (highest in UK, apparently), water expected to be 3% - pay rise sweet FA%

morning, you lot got up too early today, i must say i had a lie in, 6am or thereabouts, off to hospital for a thyroid test, so not exactly jumping with glee, but has to be done.
