What can I get my sis to cheer her up
18 Answers
My sister is a bit down in the dumps at the moment (although she never moans). She's got an array of health problems, none overly serious but with them all at once she feels crap, her kids are being little buggers and she continues to do so much to make sure everyone else is happy so I think she deserves a treat.
Thing is I have no idea what. I can't get her any nice food/choccies cos she's on a diet, can't get her wine because of the tabs she's on and the diet, can't get her nice smellies because she has really sensitive skin, flowers are boring and she got some for mothers day. I can't really offer to have the kids for a night because they always have things going on between them and I don't have the space. I can't afford to spend much and just want to get a small gesture yo cheer her up a bit so can anyone suggest anything?

You can get some cheap spa packages where you just go in to use the facilities and relax without treatments - often some on lastminute.com etc... I got one for Christmas and it was such a thoughtful gift and so needed after a lot of crap lately - have saved it up for when recovered from my op :)

I always make up a "night in box" for people
Eg
New jim jams
Choco
Wine
Facemask
Bath stuff
Mabye you could see whats available for her skintype and not too much choccy hehe and even alcohol free fizz!!! BUT i must admit as much as i hate ironing myself....it would b nice of u to do that! Stick a few nice candles on and mabye have her dinner in xxx

No chance traci, I rarely do my own.
I'd love to treat her to a treatment but she's extremely self concious and she won't have anything done. Not even her nails. She even hates going to the hairdressers. When she's won vouchers for things before she gives them away so I don't think I could tempt her.

Good idea. Ill see what her ironing pile looks like, then get her a little bit of choc, her Fave wine and some nice candles. She loves candles. Would like to get her jammies but I will have to skip them this time. Shell like the other stuff though and as she's a big grown up now she can decide whether it's a good idea to indulge or not :)
