I am 24 and I sleep around 7-8 hours a night. But when it comes to around 2pm, I am completely exhausted, and by 4pm my muscles are achey and heavy. But then at around 8 or 9pm all this goes and I am wide awake and full of energy. Does anyone know why this would be?
I suspect it's to do with eating. What do you eat at lunchtime? I can easily have a dip in energy in the afternoon if I don't eat something like pasta for lunch - then you have your evening meal, and perk up again.
If your name is anything to go by, too much chocolate doesn't help either, it only gives you quick fixes.
Try having 5 small meals every day instead of 3 main ones. Have a complex carbohydrate snack mid-afternoon to give you some sustainable energy until dinner time.
