I am trying to get information on a 1979 International Year of the Child commemorative cup. It is round, white and has a small brown bear attached. Also on the front of the cup is a green medalion with gold writing 'International Year of the Child 1979'. Also on the medalion in gold is a person holding a circle over their head. The person is framed in leaves. The cup has white/green polka-dots stockings and red mary-jane shoes. The bottom is stamped but hard to read. I believe the first letter of the first word is W possibley Well...? Last word is Ware. Under that it is stamped England. Any and all information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much...

I've got one of these, they were sold to aid unicef, the bear is the handle. one firm were producing all kinds of china with feet at the time (you can see a teapot on old episodes of "birds of a feather"). Sorry but mine is in the attic under 3 trillion other boxes so i am not able to check out the makers name...not sure if unicef have a website, they might know?
Hi, my Mother just given me one of these that she'd saved for me. On the bottom is stamped "Carlton Ware" below that is "ENGLAND", then in a semi-circle under that is "(C) LUSTRE POTTERIES.1978."

By (C) I mean the copyright symbol.

Hope this helps, Phil
Sorry my answer is 9 years late, by the way!!!
