Summer already?

Just been sitting in my garden on this beautiful evening and was amazed to see pipistrelles flying around. Anyone else seen bats today?

No but summer seems to be getting earlier each year. The last there or four years, April and May have been splendid.

We've had plenty of bees around- do they normally come this early?

I've had bees for weeks because they love the winter honeysuckle...lots of butterflies this week too.

I've seen a few lately. Saw one fly over earlier when sat out back next door having a BBQ with some neighbours.

Saw a big fat bumblebee out in the back yard earlier too.

Is it me or are bees getting bigger?

I've seen a couple of the biggest bees ever today.
i haven't seen any bats yet - unless you count my mother in law
