What value do you think is added to a product when the term ethical is attached to it?

I guess for me not a lot unless there was a description of how it was ethical - you can't believe everything you read but I would prefer to have an idea of how the product was ethical.

Relatively little as it is probably yet another marketing ploy.

It's not so much that I wish to seek out ethical products but more that I think unethical ones should be barred. And that's a government / law issue.

nothing - ethical suggests to me it will be inferior quality

none - one basis that ethical is now used so often it has ceased to have any meaning and is usually involved in an attempt to charge a high price.

I'll pay more for ethical items, though believe they should ALL be ethical and that there is a lot of cashing in going on. (Example veg food. Why do sweetcorn and potato sausages cost more than animal sausages - it is a con) I have ethical investments which don't pay out as much as oil / arms / pharmaceutical investments. I would rather sacrifice money than contribute towards suffering. The value is not monetary.
