Salford has always had a reputation as a somewhat 'vibrant' city to live in - which is a shame of all the southern BBC types who have been told they are relocating to Manchester!

There's a girl called Katie Piper (CH4 documentary - 'My Beautiful Face') whose ex-boyfriend paid someone to throw acid, or some kind of corrosive material in her face after she broke up with him.
