can nhs reject my application because im currently off sick?
3 Answers
can anyone help?. I work for the nhs,i am currently off sick with a bulging disk in my neck which is creating shoulder pain, i am attending physio and my doctor. Before going off sick i applied for another post in the same field though a different location and have recieved an interview. I am wondering where i stand with regards to this "sick leave", is it still worth while going for it? and should i be honest from the get go before the interview has even started?

I feel it looks pretty bad from their point of view,i have been off 5 weeks now and i really do want to get back to work as soon as physically possible and at the same time i dont want to rush back and do more damage so that im off again in the near future. Eeeeek,... rock and a hard place
As you say millie a rock and a hard place, check the express conditions over your payment of sick leave in your contract of employment, if you are successful at the interview will you resign and then is it possible you will find you are unable to commence the new position due to your health and so not be drawing pay from your employers?
