Links coming up as 'Missing Plug In'

I'm using Google Chrome and as far as I am aware I haven't changed any settings.

This afternoon whenever someone posts a link (I think Youtube, mostly) I'm getting the message 'Missing Plug In'.

Any suggestions to put this right?

I sometimes re-boot,and sometimes the plug-ins need to be updated.

I tried the re load thing earlier and it made no difference. I've tried again and all is well.
