Are there any smokers of tobacco here? Does anyone have any tips on how to revitalize tobacco that has gone too dry?

As above, I have some tobacco and it's gone to dry and crumbly and i'd like some tips on how to moisten it. (there isn't a smoking section so forgive me if this has been put in the wrong place.)

Thank you for your answer nibbles but what do you mean? Put potato peelings in the pack? If so how much, how long for and won't the tobacco then have a funny taste?
My late dad used to add a few drops of dark rum to moisten his baccy
the dry baccy absorbs moisture from the tatty. it may starch ya tongue : p
you can spread it out on a tray and wave a steaming iron above it for a few minutes too.
cabbage leaf small piece dont over moisten
The potato just puts more humidity into the air naturally occuring in the pack, but I've never noticed any odour/taste from the potato, generally you remove the potato from the pack when you feel your tobacco has regained its natural feeling.

Well thank you all for your answers i never knew there was so many ways to moisten tobacco. Mrsoverall unfortunately i have no alcohol in the house though that nearly tempted me to go out and get some. Chuckfickens my steam iron is much too powerful and will blow all my tobacco away. Image no cabbage and that sounds worse than the potato idea which i will do as i do have potatos here.
Thank you and good evening all.
A roll-up smoking ex of mine always did this but he used one slice about 5mm thick rather than peelings and kept it in the pouch.
In my pipe-smoking days, I always put a slice of apple in my tobacco-pouch if the contents had become rather dry...perhaps a little 'sweeter' than potato-peelings. I'm sure it would work equally well with rolling-tobacco.
