My friend and I have just finished publishing a third Blurb book, which we have decided should have a Bar Code. Blurb have supplied us with an ISBN but want us to do the Bar Code. My friend, who is far more wise and able than I am, is trawling through a minefield of literature and having some difficulty.
Is any clever AnswerBanker able to point us in the right direction?
''The printer of your book should be able to generate the barcode for you''
You will have to allocate a space and position for the barcode 'graphic' to be dropped in to (usually indicated by a white box of specific dimensions) in to your book's cover artwork, usually somewhere on the back cover. It can be either horizontal or vertical (check this though, as it has been a while since I've done one).
Hi Mrs Chappie! Long time no see! I get so busy these days being a full-time carer for my hubby, and, on the side taking paranormal pictures from other planes.
A Blurb book, I suppose, is like Lulu. Self-published, and we sell one at a time. This last one is called GHOSTS ARE REAL.
Hope you are still well and happy up there in, where is it Yorkshire? Forgive me if I`m wrong, no memory these days!
I'm fine and dandy, still living in Yorkshire but moved from North to East. Have you sorted the bar code out for your book? I'd like to buy a copy if you can let me know how.
Hi Mrs Chappie, yes it all got sorted out and it`s very kind of you to want to buy our book.
However, this book (3rd in a row) contains something like 80% photos (which I call Para-Pics) which are caught on my digital camera using a unique method discovered to get scenes and images from other dimensions. If you really wanted to see them you could check my Photostream on flickr.com where I`m known as MsEVP or Tina Laurent.
Also, I know that the price of the last book, soft & hardback, ranged from £35 to £45 so this new book may have a prohibitive price for many people.
We`ve just managed to get the barcode on the hardback and the barcode for the soft book takes a lot more work you wouldn`t believe!
If I can help you any more I will,
Cheers, Tina xx
I`m sorry, Mrs Chappie, I`m laughing my sox off here! No sister, no nose-ring, what ARE you looking at? I`ll have to check myself out. Get back to you.
It was Flickr and I typed your name in, the only Tina I could see on the page was a lass with a nose ring, sitting on a sun lounger I think. I've seen your pic before (long while ago) but didn't think it looked like you. Lol.
