We went digital last year and we did have to retune a fair number of times on and off. Sometimes a couple of times a night but once it went over fully, it all settled down
The Crystal Palace serves Greater London and parts of the home counties.
The transmitter switches in two stages on 4 April and 18 April to give
people the chance to check their equipment. It is important your TV
is converted by stage one.
If you have Freeview, then you will need to re-tune on both switchover
dates. For instructions,

Inserted a spare cable with aerial plugs on both ends to connect tv to vcr. Got usual freeview but standard channels now come thru TV via vcr; took a lot of retuning tho.
The standards BBC1 etc are tuned at 69 but need to be 'stored' as 1/2/3/4/5. If this is complicated to read it's worse re-setting the gizmos.

I have a similar problem - all the channels I had before are fine except BBC 1,2,&3 ( BBC4 is ok). Have retuned half a dozen times and each time BBC1 comes straight on with a perfect picture but then disappears after about 30 seconds and displays "no signal". I live in Croydon less than 5 miles from the Crystal Palace transmitter so signal strength is fine. I'm using a Curtis digibox via SCART. The cheap little Nikkai set I use in my camper van has no problem. Any ideas ?
