Bl00dy Spanish I think.
plus one head two arms two legs, and a lot will be brits ,what a daft question
Depends where you're going to, if it's in the Benidorm, Alicante, Calpe areas will be very touristy and tacky (in my opinion).
Usually the locals are quite friendly. As tourisum is a main part of the economy they want you there. Whenever I go to Mallorca I find that the people that work in the service industry are happy to serve you, which often they don't seem to in this counrty. A please and thank you in Spanish always goes down well too.
My 12 year old Grandson has just returned form a 7 day school trip to Valencia, he stayed in a 4 star full board hotel near to the Football Stadium and spent 2 hours every day in footie training sessions with the Club coaching staff. That part of it he enjoyed, however, the food in the hotel was awful, uncooked chicken and the like, he spent 120 euros on food over the week, the trip cost 750 euros BTW. He went to watch a first team match in the stadium and said that Spanish football is rubbish cos the players are always diving. He had a great time other than that and said everyone understood him, he wouldn't take my Spanish phrase book away with him. I've only been to Sithes, Barcelona and Benalmadena and so not the Blanca coast.

thank you both for your helpful and serious responses
may I ask your age group ? holidaymakers dont usually worry about the locals, unless your looking for some local "totty" and good luck to you if you are.

middle age. going with friends and their daughter. we are just going to relax.
If it is Benidorm, there is a lovely clean beach, and a very nice promenade all along the front, with plenty of stops for coffee, ice cream etc. The old part of Benidorm is well worth looking around. There are tacky touristy areas of course, but you do not have to stay around these parts.
