Eggheads

hasn't this programme had it's day, the eggheads mostly look bored, and the challengers rarely get the better of them, with the occasional glitch..
I confess it's only on because the news is too depressing.

However give them so-called music, which means pop, rap, and other useless cr*p and they are all happy. I am NOW convinced that it's dead on it's feet. Similar, as per my earlier point, agree with re: Paxman's "let's get on with it" approach. DEVIATION: "Just a Minute" 0n TV not a patch on old radio version as they don't obey rules for sake of so-called laugh or pity for those who don't even know the rules. Remember Kenneth Wiliams, Clement Freud, Alan Coren(?), Derek Nimmo(?) etc. OMG bet I've rattled a few more cages, pmsl.
I'm afraid I'm old enough to remember all those names, Solvit. Not to mention Humphrey Littleton, Rushton et al playing Mornington Crescent on a program whose name I can't remember.
Deviation now you mention Alan Coren (RIP): I learnt on another AB thread recently that the delicious Vicky Coren is to marry an unfunny comedian. Sad world.

Yup, Vetuste-ennemi, I'm in same old boat. I remember Humph's prog., and Mornington Crescent. I think it also included Tim Brooke-Taylor (of The Goodies). I used to listen to these progs when driving home from work. By the way in Just A Minute, Kenneth Williams (dead) was in all "Carry On" films and Clement Freud (dead) was a descendant of the famous psyco..he was also cook I think. Any oldie remember title of Humph's prog?
