But Mrs Overall, shopping surely is not the answer to being bored!! Shopping is boring. Nothing to stop people getting out and about on a Sunday without having to resort to shopping. There is plenty to do without having to spend, spend, spend - it seems to be the nation's main hobby nowadays.
Yes, it was open today, least mine was. Bloody place was manic all day with people panic buying because *shock, horror* Asda and Tesco was shut for ONE day! Utterly bloody barking!!
As somebody has already said (can't remember who now), if they were open or not depended entirely on the size of their stores and whether they were allowed to open.
Christmas day and Easter sunday, the two most religious days in our calendar.
Couldn't you all have gone shopping on the other 363 days????? I doubt if anyone will starve to death, and it has been on the calendar for the last several hundred years. ( Mind you, I had to go to argos for a web cam, ASDA were closed for some reason)
Boo, we went to the supermarket onThursday to avoid the rush, but it was packed, people must assume they are going to close for a week. I hope you have tomorrow off.
Had I made the decision yesterday that I was going to make a pudding today then I would have got the ingredients while I was at tesco but as I didn't decide until this morning then I needed some eggs. I wasn't exactly panic buying. If it hadn't have been opened I wouldn't have had to bother.
I just made treacle sponge. Although going by the four step recipe I had I reckon they must use it to teach pre school kids their first cooking lesson, it was nice though.
