Memory foam effectiveness?
8 Answers
I can't afford a Tempur but have just bought a memory foam mattress. It has 12cm of memory foam and a further 8cm of different foam. However! They have just delivered me a different one which has 2cm soft memory foam, 7cm of memory foam and 11cm of other foam. This mattress has less memory foam than I wanted but is actually more expensive on the website. The company said to me that after 8cm, the memory foam starts to compact on itself and so 12cm is a bit pointless, and I would be better off with 8cm.
Is this true?! Or are they pulling a fast one?
Does anyone have a memory foam mattress with a top layer of memory foam and a lower layer of other foam (they come vacuum packed) and if so, how do you find it?! THANKS

Seems to me you have a right to get what you agreed to buy, and they have no right sending a substitute without clearing it with you first (do they hide reserving this 'right' in the small print somewhere ?).
IMO a few inches worth is sufficient but if you wish to demand you get what you paid for or a refund then I'd suspect you'd have a good case.
