First surfers in Bridlington ?

This is the place where I live. Just thought I would share. I cant beleive that it was the first for surfing though, although someone has to be first. If it had been April 1st, I would have been suspicious

Hi DTc, I've not been to Cornwall since 2009 (will be back in Sept) I was a bit concerned that coastal erosion might have gotcha!

Been across Bodmin moor a few times on my way to Padstow, Wifes Grandmother owns a cottage there in middle street. Bodmin moor is a few miles from the sea.

Oh yea, the jamaica inn is a cool place, especially if you are in to spooky stuff.

We were having lunch in Jamaica Inn a year or three back when a waitress asked the very camp bar-manager how much to charge someone for two pints of Lager, and was told "As much as you can get for it"

We do, of course have surfing here now, even in our weather. It must be true as Ive just bought the local paper and its in there too.
I wouldnt even go for a paddle here. Somedays the sea looks disgusting.

What a shame youve missed out on being in with the first surfers Sqad. I didnt know Mrs Sqad was from Scarborough. So far, we still have a lovely hospital in Bridlington.
