Do some young Robins eat their parents?

No, but Robins are vicious little things at this time of year. There have been some terrible scraps in my garden. The blackbirds are also prone to fighting and;as my recent experience with the injured wood pigeon shows; they can do each other a lot of damage as well. However, none of them eat each other.

Robins are very territorial. We once had a pair nesting in our back garden - and that year we didn't have another single birds nest anywhere near the place! Usually, we have blackbirds, sparrows, blue tits and wood pigeons nesting nearby.

If anything, it would be the other way round. How could a fledging eat a fully grown bird?

Robins are little s*ds ANY time of the year but probably worse during the mating season. Beware any other robin that strays onto their territory. But you've got to love 'em.

I love the one or two robins that come in the garden every day. Just been watching them gollop uncooked porridge up off the patio, their fun to watch
