I suppose there is no obligation on posters to say thank you, and there are several regular posters who fail to join in on their own threads. And some posters genuinely don't realise they can reply to their own posts or use a browser that doesn't show a submit button when they try to reply to a thread.
It's frustrating though isn't it when you put a lot of work into solving it or seek clarification but never know whether your effort has been worthwhile.
I don't understand why some browsers don't have a submit button. If they
put the question on in the first place, what's stopping them from saying many
thanks in advance! Surely they must have a submit button to put the question
on in the first place.
Biffo knows how to add to a thread and his 2 answers were added to his own thread. So he knows how to do it but does not choose to give a please before or a thanks after. I know that it doesnt really matter but I think it is only polite if people bother to answer you that you thank them for their effort. Without this how do you know your answer was even read?
