Quite often items are marked with an X next to the factory markingsto denote that it has a defect, often very hard to find but enough to prevent it being sold as a perfect. For instance I inherited some Royal Doulton from my mother one of which is marked as a second, we've gone over it many times with a glass and never found any obvious defect but any dealer will no at a glance that there is something wrong with it some where
Without actually seeing and examining the item it is impossible to say if it is genuine or a reproduction. Sorry !
Even then we are not experts at everything, for instance if you were asking about an vintage camera I could give a very good idea of the value. I buy and sell vintage cameras but vase's are outside my experience.
