Does anyone know how to work the page numbering. I have completed my dissertation and I want to put parts on the start such as my abstract and acknowledgement into roman numerical numbering. Then start m introduction on page 1. However it wont let me do this it keeps changing the whole document to the same numbering. It's driving me crazy. Please help

Maybe you need to put the right sort of break in (I can't remember which).
Or do it as separate docs.

I've tried to google this it just further confuses me
When using the ‘page format’ facility I have an option to uncheck the ‘continue previous numbering’ instruction and set up a new page numbering structure

Its just not working.
Basically... I want to put 10 pages at the start of my project in roman numbers, then start at page 11, at page 1. If I try to alter this it makes the whole document in roman numbers and not just the seletcted
Insert a section break at bottom of page 10 where you want to restart page numbering. On page 11 go to INSERT menu, click on Page Numbers, Click Format In the Start At Box select enter 1 if that is number you wish to start at. The trick is in making them new sections with the section break.
Hope this helps.
