Smear test and colopscopy results
3 Answers
I recently had a smear test come back with abnormal results. Within a few weeks I had appointment for a colopscopy to investigate this further. During this they could not find any abnormal cells, and i was told it was something called metaplasia and advised to reattend the gynae department in six months for another smear and was told nothing bad could happen in six months. Overall this was obviously good news, but now starting to wonder how the abnormal cells showed up in the first place and then disappeared (the colopscopy was within six weeks of the smear test) were the abnormal results on the smeat test metaplasia aswell ??
