yes it is and very nutritious, good for joints, skin and hair health etc!

but similar oils are made in veggie capsules if you don't fancy the fishy aftertaste!

the health benefits far out weigh the fishy taste. I read today that it prevents the spread of HIV too. Weird really but also prevents cancer. I am going to buy some on the way home.
don't believe all the wilder claims... but it is def one of the can't hurt might help supplements
Really ? I was under the impression it came from sheep brains. Surely they aren't actually being honest with the name ? I mean, come on, who would ever opt to get oil from a fish liver and consume it in the hope it does some good for you ? You're having me on.
One of my child hood memories is being given a dose of cod liver oil every morning. Resistance was futile...it tasted 'king horrible
It will not prevent anything, it will not cure anything, however regular dosing may help, we give it to our dogs regularly.
I too can remember getting a teaspoonful of cod liver oil every morning as a child.
Thank goodness it was followed by a teaspoonful of concentrated orange juice.
I think these supplements were free back in nineteen oatcake when I was a child. Everyone I knew got them, though some diluted the orange juice to make a drink rather than getting a teaspoonful of delicious orange gloop.
It was supposed to build up your resistance to colds...who knows...
Hated the cod liver oil, loved the orange juice.
Actually, I think there is a song about it....
Found it!

My mum used to give it to me daily in brown jelly capsules and I took it in happy oblivion to its contents until about 3rd form when a friend dared me to bite into one. Eeeeew I can still gag at the memory.
Get the capsules not the actual oil in a bottle (that really does taste fishy)
High strength 1 a day capsules are very reasonable on ebay etc.
