Just how far do we want our lives to be "risk free"?

There was a hotel we used to use In Cape Town (years ago) and it had big, big windows. It was a famous room party trick for people to run at the window, grap hold of the curtains, and swing out (on the 5th floor). Only after a few shandies though.
Times have changed, apparently Sierra Juliet... was just talking to an acquaintence who does 3 trips a week to Amsterdam, which I used to do back before GPS nav... asked him how he liked it and he said " Great! I keep a set of golf clubs in a locker at the hotel and play golf everytime I'm there"... so much for the younger generation...
