Thought I'd see if I can put my mind at rest a bit if anyone is about who can advise.

I had a yeast overgrowth/infection show up on some swabs my GP had done a few weeks ago (everything else clear) and took one of the one tablet pack of fluconazole to get rid. I figured the yeast thing could be from having been on antibiotics so often.

I've noticed my wee has been bubbly quite often recently and this morning I noticed quite a bit of brown discharge.

I'm just over a week into my cycle and last period all finished by last weekend - I waited until it had stopped for a couple of days before taking the treatment, I'm not on any kind of birth control and definitely not pregnant, had a smear done a few months ago which came back fine. Thought it might just be some after effect of the yeast thing or treatment (maybe it getting out my system) so can put my mind at rest a bit.

I've got a GP appointment on Wednesday as a follow up to a rhumatology one and other things so can mention it then if needs be. Am hoping it's just something to do with the yeast thing (hopefully a sign it's being got rid of).

Do you feel generally well?any fever? aches? general malaise?

Hi Wolfgang. I've been feeling awful. Been tired and achey and feeling extra crap the last week, been exhausted. Had a horrible head cold come out though so figure it was that brewing. My head's been feeling really hot but the cold would account for all that.

Ah, getting stingy pains so guessing it may be another sodding uti! Will mention it to my GP when I see her Wednesday.
You may need Metronidazole. Incidentally, probiotics are fab for keeping women healthy down there.

Thanks NM, it's been a running theme so think I might look to other things to help get shot. Got a general review appointment with my GP to go through a number of things including these recurrent utis and such. I've had a couple of different antibiotics but either it's not shifting or coming back.

I might have a look at capsules (I think you can get capsules) if they are as effective? Tried those drinks before and not so keen (similarly shoving yoghurt where the sun don't shine haha!).

Going to stock back up on cranberry juice too.
