Is it only me or does anyone else find the Eggheads quite annoying and a bit smug. Know I shouldnt cos they are well clever but cant help it - they get on my wick.

They are all VERY annoying.

There is nothing clever about the ability to retain useless bits of information.

In fact, it's probably a form of autism.

MsBadely and Suzi-q: How refreshing to hear these opinions, with which I concur completely . They really do give the impression that the sun shines out of thier ELBOW. They remine of an old song that said "It's terribly hard to be humble when you're perfect in every way".

I am still under the impression that this programme is 'tailored, to the Egg Heads team's areas of knowledge.

The questions on the programme are probably of the same difficulty level as programmes such as 100%, but not as difficult as 15 to 1. I am no Egg Head, however during each programme I only get 3 or 4 questions wrong.

But then again I am not smug enough to be on the team!!

I agree with you rd - some of their questions at times seem ridiculously simple given their standard of knowledge. I have only seen them beaten once though. And who on earth is the guy with the hairband.

Daphne Fowler was the 15-1 champion a few times so I wouldn't think the questions would be tailored to suit her. I also think she won the star prize on Sale of the century years ago. There are people who regularly appear on different Quiz shows it's like a career to them, and soaking up as much news, trivia, and statistics as possible is another part of the job
