do i need to get copyright permission to have a specific piece of musoc played at my funeral

As I understand it, if a church/ crematorium offer this service it is they who should be paying their dues to the performing rights society (these are the people who collect royalties) and not 'the customer' as it were (couldn't think of a better term!!)
