that film you quoted is that an adaption of the book by the same name
author jon krakauer because that was a cracking read and i wasnt aware of the film

It is indeed. I haven't actually read the book but it is the same story of Christopher McCandless aka Alexander Supertramp. It really made me wake up and realise what life is about. An amazing but heartbreaking story.

To digress slightly, I can thoroughly recommend Krakauer's 'Into Thin Air', his own account of the Everest disaster.
