sitting in the front room,drinking tea and reading the paper when water started pouring in through the ceiling by the bay window. i got a large bucket and positioned it under the leak,back to the tea,drip drip drip 5 minutes goes by chinese water torture sets in so i set to and build a tower of furniture
until the bucket is just under the leak. put a cloth in the bucket this reduces the sound,so i return to my tea and paper. i now have a tower of furniture
with a big blue bucket on top,and thats my afternoon for you !!!

How will you know when the bucket is full??? What a nightmare. You should defo have you tubed the building of the tower.....

the rain has abated now so ive emptied the bucket fingers crossed it will hold till the morning when i can hopefully fix it. damn wish i had thought of u tube

'Water' disaster! If you lived near me then I could recommend a good builder for you but you do not live in the South Shropshire area, do you?

If the leak is coming in at one point can you somehow attach cloth tape at that point and run it down to a large bucket to stop the noise of the drip, if you follow me? Did that with dripping shower until it was fixed.
