is Duck poultry?

My dog can't have chicken or turkey. We've had duck for tea and it's torture for him. Is it classed as poultry or do you think he could have it?

Poor Louie. I'm throwing away all the trimmings and carcass from two ducks.he never ever begs by he won't come out of the kitchen and is just crying!

Leave him in the other room because he can probably smell it and give him food that he likes and can eat. Bless!

I maintain it's game, crisgal, but if youre worried about the bones best not give it to the dog.

Don't chuck it, use it for stock.

Listen to humber --- never never never give a dog poultry bones, my dog nearly died through a punctured stomach when he stole a cooked chicken with his doggie friend !! Crisgal can you give him just the meat with no bones??

I know not to give dogs,and cats for that matter, bones but just wondering why not the trimmings. Is it to do with diet Crisgal?

I agree about never giving a dog duck bones.

Isn't it only cooked chicken/ turkey bones that dogs shouldn't have? My sister's dogs are on the RAW diet and have complete, uncooked chicken wings for supper every night, and are, at present, still standing (touch wood!)

he's allergic to chuicken and turkey - they make him itch like crazy. He's ok - he survived, bless him! he got a whole tin of tuna.

salmon is his favourite!
He's deaf and almost blind, so the smell was doing his head in!
