Hi, I'm a 45 male. For the past six years I have been suffering from following symptoms :- urge to urinate frequently, especially at night and slow flow of urine. If I leave it too long before I go to the toilet, I am left with a grumbling pain in my lower abdomen - top of bladder and sometimes a feeling of pressure in my back passage. I can't remember the last time I had decent sleep! I know it all points to my prostate but I have had my urine tested-fine, PSA test-fine, prostate examined-fine, cystoscopy-fine. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I have had further thoughts........it could be Chronic Prostatitis or as it is sometimes called Chronic Pelvic Pain syndrome.......Google it and get back to me.
If you have a penile discharge, then Non Gonococcal Urethritis comes to mind, but if you haven't, then i am "stumped" and i will give it further thought.

Sqad, thank you very much for your answer. I googled Chronic Pelvic Pain syndrome as you suggested and everything seems to fit. I don't know why the doctors haven't suggested this before but I know I will be suggesting it next time I see them. Not sure there is much they can do, I don't particularly want prostate removed at my age, but it would be nice to know for sure what the problem is.
No problem......yes it is difficult to treat and I am not sure that removal of the prostate is the answer.
Thanks for the feedback and keep us informed.
