Local Elections Latest: Scotland Turnout
On the BBC website the ticker has a headline that it is a record low turnout in Scotland.
The pending local results aside, would this not be an indicator to the possible apathy in Scotland in regards to the indepence vote they'll be taking sometime soon?

Gerald Howarth, MP for Aldershot and defence minister, says tonight's results will have to be considered by David Cameron along with deep unhappiness among many Tories over the government's economic policies. He cites gay marriage as his biggest ever post bag with many party faithful unhappy with Cameron's support.
Is he being truthful? Is the issue of gay marriage/civil partnerships REALLY that much of an issue that it is his constituents biggest worry? Seriously?
