I always shave mine in the spring. It gives the nesting birds something to line
their nests with.

I shave mine. The reason being that if I spend a short time prepping a load of onions and garlic then a day later no amount of deo or washing will get rid of the smell. I try to remain smell neutral in work and during normal life. On the very odd occasion I use a little aftershave. I found that removing pit hair stopped the onion and garlic problem. mrs cook and 2 friends of hers decided to use my back as a testing ground for home waxing. Pain Pain PPAAAIIIINNNN! Cured me of a hairy back tho' :-)
