I did it!
3 Answers
Just finished putting my water butt in the garden with the water diverter attached to the downpipe. Now, I want it to rain.
Just wanted to say a big thank you to all of you that helped with advice and links and you tube videos. Special thanks to Howard and buildersmate. Couldn't have done it without you.
The worse bit was sawing through the downpipe. Didn't like that bit at all.
Thanks everyone.

I got my water butt kit from Argos, they're on special offer at the moment.
I also rang up Sparta the company that produces Ward water butts and spoke to a lovely man who gave me specific instructions and assured me that I could do it myself. (You have to get past the receptionist to speak to nice man but he was really helpful.)
