I hate driving through Darwen in Lancashire im sure its a place where n*b heads go to drive! Road etiquette is sadly lacking ! I really didnt know that pulling out of a side road when there is oncoming traffic gives them right of way!!!

Should be safe enough but low speeds, seaside town and not much traffic are more than offset by the old age and/or lack of driving skills of the residents. There are plenty of places abroad where there are mountain roads with sheer drops, no barriers, and lorry drivers who drive as though cars don't matter, but there you are aware of the dangers. Scarborough is bad however defensive your driving.
London drivers are very skilled and very safe. The biggest danger is drivers who are from out of town, who can't adjust to the necessary way of London driving and who don't know where they are going.

Saudi Arabia , there is NO ROAD LAW at all !
Saudi operates under Sharia law and as Mohammed did not think to ask Allah if it was OK to drive your 5 litre Chevrolet at 100mph on the wrong side of a dual carriage way at night with no lights , it is not actually illegal ! You can get a driving licence at age 17 (as long as you are male , females can not drive) just by sending off for it , there is no driving test either !
I drove over 250,000 Km in Saudi over 3 years in a Chevrolet pick up truck , it was all for work , I was the only person in the whole department that was prepared to drive. In the entire time I did not have even a scratched bumper !

Saudi also has no insurance law , you do not need insurance !
Some interpretations of the Qumran have it that insurance is actually illegal!
Muslims believe that Allah has a book with a page for every person on Earth. On your page is your life history so haveing insurance is like trying to insure against Allah's will. We were warned never to take a Taxi as if the taxi crashes it is your fault ! This is because the taxi was in the place where it had the accident because you asked the driver to drive there! so it is your fault !
We were also told never to give first aid or try to help crash victims ,again if the person dies anyway it is your fault for interfering with the will of Allah !
