hi,ive just seen the film,i enjoyed it but felt the ending could have been better,i heard somewhere that there should be an extra 8 minutes but it was cut for some reason,does anybody know why,and will it be on the dvd when its released,thanks.

I believe the American version has a slightly different ending ( the two leads kiss ) as this was what the preview audience prefered.

Any studio worth it's weight will add this as a DVD extra.

Following the US release of Pride & Prejudice, there has been a phenomenal wave of British press and public interest in the alternative ending being screened there. As a result, UK cinemagoers will be given the opportunity to take a look at what audiences have been seeing across the water when the US version is released in a limited number of cinemas in the UK on November 25th.
