Shrows is seen as the posher version and the correct version if you look at the original old spellings but Shroos is very commonly used locally. I didn't go to the kind of school where you could get away with saying Shrows and it's stuck :)
There is also Ratlinghope pronounced Ratchup. Few up here too, Berry/Burry (Bury) etc... The one that really grates on me is people pronouncing the Sal in Salford like in Sally.
