HTC Wildfire s won't let me copy photos to my gallery since putting new memory card in

I have changed the memory card in my htc wildfire s from a 2gb to a 16gb and now it won't let me download photos from the internet to my gallery. I keep my finger on the picture and it vibrates but won't give me the option of downloading them !
Any ideas please ?

Do you mean that when you press and hold your finger, no box comes up or the box does come up but the option to 'save picture as' is not there?
