What can I do ?
I paid for 8 weeks, at a guest house in Spain, advertising immersion Spanish.
I was not given the 6 hours a day tuition it advertised. The woman gave the lessons, and he was the 'Man Friday' as he called himself. but they spoke in English a lot of the time.
The man sat on the computer most of the day, he cooked the meals and the kitchen was so dirty, he was always picking his nose.and the food was left out unrefrigerated for hours at a time in the 80 degrees kitchen. My bed was not changed properly, he left the sheets on for 2 weeks instead of one week as was arranged between us.
He had no food handlers certificate. There were animals in and out the kitchen.
I fell down some steps on a wet floor. I also got food poisoning, from a vegetable mayo meal they served me. One other meal consisted of tinned chickpeas and 3 pieces of choritzo.
When I complained, he asked me to leave after 3 weeks, he was shouting and it was very frightening. He with held 550 euro and the flight of £128 which he said he would pay and 'of course' his card was not accepted for payment.
Terrible experience, and I just want to warn others of this place, as there seems to be nothing I can do.
