I will, ric.ror. It was not long after that that a big fire broke out in the brewery where I was working at that time - experiencing the rolling smoke (which is what kills most people in a fire) gave us an indication of what it might have been like at Bradford that day.
Remember it well.
That afternnon watching the football results on TV and seeing those horrifying pictures of the fire....so engrossed in the events we forgot completely that we had some eggs boiling in the kitchen, then suddenly another explosion - this time from our kitchen - the eggs had boiled dry and exploded.
A terrible day for football and their supporters - we were lucky, we only had a mess in the kitchen to clear up.
Was it really 27 years ago
Where does the time go?
I'll always remember the look on my Mom's face when I returned home after we'd drawn 2-2 against the Arsenal, used to go on the bus in those days,
no mobile phones or anything so the first I heard about it was when she told me.
A terrible tragedy.
