Adverts section: necessity?
I don't wanna rock the boat too much, and this may have been already said, but is the adverts section really needed? Commercial breaks and beats seems to have it all covered... Couldn't non-music stuff in adverts be dealt with in the TV section?

The Advert area is usually the first thing any newcomer will see and probably be interested in - then decide to drop in and eventually stay with AB. Commercial Breaks and Beats and not forgetting Advertsongs are great sites, but even they get it wrong occasionally - so there's room for all, don't you think? Good question, though!
Thank you - those are all fair points. I was in fact around just before the ads section, and it was mildly frustrating. I guess if I'd had to experience it for more than a couple of days I'd be campaigning for this section! What Cetti says about the complementary nature of the site has also made me reconsider...
None of this is 'necessary', Uncorrect, not the adverts category, or indeed the Answerbank, or CB&B, or the Internet, or the advertising industry.
But now we're all here and seem to be muddling through. This category is busy and most questions seem to get an answer. And luckily, there doesn't appear to be a limit on the number of websites out there, so hopefully we'll all be around for a while longer.

I know this topic isn't particularly fresh but I thought I'd contribute. The only reason I've stumbled across this genius of a web site is because I was looking for ad music enlightenment. And now I'm here I shall use the other sections, too. Therefore, the more sections the site has the more likely people are to find it randomly. And that's only a good thing for any online community (-;
