1. A cucumber slice makes an ideal sledge for a Borrower
2. Hollow out a cucumber lengthways, stick it in the parasol hole of your garden table and you have a windproof ashtray
3. Two cucumber slices threaded onto string and hung from your car mirror make an unusual alternative to furry dice
4. Cucumbers make an interesting addition to a salad

Anyone else got any (clean) novel ideas?

do find they can cause wind though,good ideas though
they go rather well in Pimms I find....

They help hide the junk food in your shopping trolley
Do you like them peeled or un peeled that is the question.
peeled reduces the repeatability apparently
I've got a novel idea.

Place very thin slices of cucumber between thin slices of brown bread, cut off the crusts. Cut the bread into neat triangles.
Truely revolutionary....................cucumber sandwiches.
My gran used to say that if they were peeled they are easier to digest.

Hmm, they'd be no good for hiding a 24 pack of crisps :-(
Also Peperami's are long and thin.
Get a really,really long one and shove it up your....... down pipe to clear out the bird's nests.....

Butas I said earlier ..slice one and slice an onion...leave in chip shop vinegar for a few days and make gorgeous sarnies with it..mmm....

My mum used to do that commoner. Stank the house out for days. (Not the drainpipe bit)

I still do it commoner, pickle the cucumber with sliced onion in vinegar and sugar. Lovely. Or it's rather nice in lemon juice.
Feed to tropical fish - our love it.
