Yesterday, Prudie and I were talking about the station staircase scene in 'The Untouchables'
It's a scene that has stayed in my mind's eye since I watched the film. Mainly because I loved Kevin Costner in that role.
Which film scenes have stayed with you and why?
the scene in An Affair to Remember when Cary Grant suddenly realises that Deborah Kerr who is lying on the sofa, is paralysed, and why she didn't turn up on their agreed meeting, tissues out for that one.

as to Shane, i believe he says, I love Shane, so presumably to his mother..
it has been a while since i saw this film, but loved Alan Ladd and Brandon de Wilde.

Wyoming is my home State, and if one knows where to look, remnants of the cabin used by the homesteader family of the child actor Brandon de Wilde can still be seen.
The background mountains are, of course, Le Trois Grande Teton[i .. the early French-Canadian fur trappers had vivid imaginations!
As an aside, Clint Eastwoods famous fight scene in the 1980 [i]Any Which Way You Can] was filmed in the town square of Jackson Hole as well...
