I have just got a Galaxy Ace and on the whole I am quite pleased with it. It is the first touch screen I have had so it takes a bit of getting used to.

The only downside I find is that the battery runs down quite quickly.

I have gone through everything I can think of to save battery life.

Does anyone else have this phone and how do you rate it.

Do you know Maggie, I have just had a new Samsung phone with exactly the same problem. I'm back to the supplier on Tuesday for my first lesson and wil ask about the battery life then. Will update if you've had no luck in the mean time.

Thanks jd appreciate that
Pretty much the same problem with all the smart phones really, loads of stuff online if you google it. I just got a Galaxy note, battery lasts really well on it but that is largely due to it being so much larger.
You can get apps that will save battery life
Juice defender is one - i use it and it will prolong the life by closing down things when the phone is not in use
Turning off wifi etc will help. You dont need wifi on for net use anyway and it will save some life
Surely using G3 for net use will use more battery - and gobble up your data allowance if you are on the net a lot?

Just get in the habit of closing apps when you have finished with them, don't leave them running in the background. GPS is a big drain on the battery, as is bluetooth. Turn both off unless you are using them.
