yes they do, how about putting velcro over the poppers ?
trouble is it needs a lot of dexterity to use... its like a little folded plastic thing with depressions for either side of the popper..you pinch it together . pretty useless really however if you have someone good at sewing it might be possible to replace the poppers with buttons and loops Velcro is too hard for baby clothes
Have you tried searches using the words 'press stud' instead of poppers?

How is baby doing by the way? :)

divegirl. well searched ! they look ideal id say :)
Most of them are self adhesive but I wouldn't have thought that strong enough....and they'd never last a wash, mind you they're so cheap you could just keep replacing them!
A couple of stitches in each should do though Bednobs.

I dread to think what would come up when searching for Press Studs :-D

I like your idea Lisa xx

hello everyone thanks for answers. Phoebe is doing ok - she is now 4lb 5 oz (up from her birthweight of 3lb 1 oz)
She is still on oxygen but goes for short periods without it. She is in an open cot, rather than incubator and is maintaining her own temp. has gone to 4 hourly tube feeds but has sucked at the breast every day this week (although falls asleep easily and only takes a few mls herself)
they are saying we should start preparing for her coming home in the next few weeks (we still don't actually have anything at all baby related - no pram, no cot, no nappies, no bath, no changing table etc)
this is her singing elvis http://i26.photobucke...redford1/DSC00226.jpg
and this is her first cuddle with grandma

These may not be the answer, but there is a product called "Zippy Suits" which use a long zip instead of poppers.
