What I can't understand is, she pleads poverty and says she doesn't even have a credit card but all the treatment she had last week before going to oz must have cost her a packet.

beattie, Liz Jones is a self absorbed woman who has had face lifts body lifts, botox whatever.Divorced, but she has a RS (rock Star) boyfriend so far unidentified, who is at the moment touring Australia and she is supposed to be going out there to be with him next week. I don't know how old she is but she is not really rock-chick material from what I've seen of her. She has a column in the Mail on Sunday newspaper and a page in th MOS You magazine (last page). The way I read her page today it sounded to me from the e-mail he sent to her, that he was trying to put her off going.

If he exists (I doubt it!) he must be having a right old laugh at her column ..... she is so embarrassing! Yes I agree about the "poverty" issue, she doesn't know the meaning of the word!

She is barking mad. She claims poverty yet adnits she earns one pound per word. That must be several hundreds of thousands a year.

don't think there's any debt so big a newspaper columnist can't pay it off. Julie Burchill used to earn enough to keep the whole Colombian economy going.
