Recently??
Has anyone recently returned from Gumbet / Bodrum? the last time we where there is was very annoying with the practice of trying to get you into the Bars / Shops / Restaurants, from what I've heard the Turkish was clamping down on these traders by taking the licence off them if they got convicted 3 times?? does this still stand?? tia.

We've been to Altinkum, Alanya, Marmaris and Gumbet and they were all the same - always pestering us to try and get our trade, so I'm also interested if things have changed (sorry I can't help).
One useful tip that we did use though - if/when they ask for your custom, simply reply with "belki sonra" - it means "maybe later". Never say that you'll def call back, 'cos you'll be surprised how good they are with faces.
