Because the same or similar stories are being posted every few days.

They then signed off one of their posts with the wrong name.

You get used to reading the same question with a different name, then the OP puts in another name at the end of the post. Things that make us go mmm??mmm

Mind you, I read the initial question, it bored me, so I never bothered looking at it or its subsequent replies once it was posted.

Similar questions are posted very often. They are always answered by the same people. The removed post in that question was "kaypar" answering but as the original poster (ie obviously forgot to log out under their other name before replying)

Thank you to all of you who answered my question. I'm glad that I don't have to troll hunt. I'd never catch them. I think I have a very low boredom threshold and I just switch off and don't notice the clues
