Checking yourself!?

Do you regularly check yourself for any "changes" or lumps?

Breasts/ testicles etc?

I dont. I should...as my maternal grandmother had cancer, and paternal grandfather passed away with cancer.

If you do...how do you remember to? Whats your routine!? Any hints or tips?

Id like to make it part of a routine ...i used to have a "gel mitt" from lloyds pharmacy i think....think ive binned it now. Xx

Have to admit to a slight reluctance to checking myself as am terrified of finding anything. Have a mammograph every two years, I leave it them!

I never check my testicles but I do check my breasts : )

In the bath, soap all over with body wash and hand glides over skin easily

no....me and the hubby tend to check for each other! seriously tho...we both do check and i taught my son to recently as well - the embarrassing bodies website was my resource....x

I found a breast lump when I was 30 - I never would have found it if I had checked myself with the palm of my hand (like everyone is told do) mine was quite deep and only found it by using my fingers. Mine was removed and was all o.k.

I do sometimes wonder what she gets up to in the potting shed. She told me they were runner beans but I have my suspicions.

All joking aside it's something we should maybe all be more aware of, the bosslady found a lump on my left nut a few years back which turned out to be a varicosele (a collection of blood vessels) which had to be checked....shame it took four weeks for them to bother with a scan!!

I do encourage her to check properly on a daily basis
